The HD9DP Hi-Gain Dual-Band 9dBi Directional WiFi Antenna Kit is an antenna for extending the range of your 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac WiFi devices. The HD9DP Indoor Wireless AC Directional WiFi Antenna increases the wireless strength from a standard 2dBi (decibels) to a staggering 9dBi, resulting in up to 350% increase in the wireless coverage and strength.*


DUAL-POLARIZATION MIMO, A SMART ANTENNA TECHNOLOGY, IMPROVES THE WIRELESS CONNECTION BETWEEN YOUR WIFI DEVICES
Unlike most standard WiFi antennas that use the same pathway to transmit and receive data, the HD9DP Indoor Wireless AC Directional WiFi Antenna is built with two antennas to create multiple paths for your wireless communication. This means better range and signal quality for wireless networks.


DUAL-BAND FLEXIBILITY: HOW IT WORKS
The 2.4GHz frequency is the most commonly used wireless bandwidth. It also has limited bandwidth for multiple activities, such as sending emails, video chatting, streaming movies, playing games, etc. In addition, the same 2.4GHz frequency is used by other wireless routers in the area, as well as some common household devices such as cordless phones and microwaves. This causes interference and major backlog with your online activities. Dual-Band technology fixes these issues by providing the 5.0GHz frequency. This allows compatible devices to connect to the more open 5.0GHz channels, eliminating the 2.4GHz interference, thus speeding up your internet. The HD9DP strengthens and extends Dual-Band signal for long range, high traffic wireless networks.


PLUG-AND-PLAY INSTALLATION
Simply replace your device antenna with the HD9DP. The HD9DP Indoor Wireless AC Directional WiFi Antenna has two SMA connections, the most commonly used antenna connector. For other type of adapters, please visit Hawking Tech’s website for additional selections.

Once you have mounted and connected your HD9DP Indoor Wireless AC Directional WiFi Antenna, make sure to note the signal pattern of the antenna. Be sure to face the side of the antenna with the Hawking Logo at your wireless device(s). While you will experience superior range and quality with your HD9DP, you must be in range of the antenna’s signal to maximize your wireless strength. As indicated by the diagram above, the directional antenna does not give off signal from the back of the product. You will receive optimal wireless signal by placing your Wi-Fi device within the designated area. Adjust the antenna as needed. (Note: Your wireless coverage may vary depending on the receiving power of your wireless adapter.)
